Camri Anderson
Hey, y'all! My name is Camri, like the car.
I like to say that the one thing
that a Toyota Camry and I have in common
is we are both reliable.
I'm a performer who loves cultivating spaces
where people feel safe to be themselves.
I'm known for the phrase
which is literally tattooed on me,
"Happy to be here, easy to work with".
From dance recitals to living room concerts
while watching American Idol
to being in theatre productions,
performing is something I fell in love with
at a young age.
My second act started at
Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri,
where I received a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre
in May of 2022.
While at Stephens,
I served as president of my sorority, Kappa Delta,
and was an advocate for
the new Performing Arts Conservatory.
I spent a semester at
Okoboji Summer Theatre
where I worked along side industry professionals.
My third act started three weeks (haha irony)
after I graduated, when Dollywood called.
I worked as an entertainer there for four seasons.
From being friends with characters,
hyping up crowds,
dancing on the back of pickup trucks,
promoting new merch,
being the voice behind the curtain,
opening several new productions,
and hosting music festivals,
you name it, I did it!
I like to say, I went from "mother" to "mouse"!
I am now sailing with Disney Cruise Line
as an Entertainment Hostess.
I've sailed from Cozumel to Cartagena,
through the Panama Canal,
from Cabo San Lucas to Catalina Island,
and from Vancouver to Alaska.
When I'm on land, I enjoy going
to area schools and dance studios
where I teach masterclasses
as well as choreograph local productions.
Besides being a performing arts advocate,
I enjoy seeing new places, finding a workout class near me, reading, and yappin' it up with an iced coffee in hand.
As Queen Dolly once said:
"I'm not going to limit myself just because people won't
accept the fact that I can do something else."
